Carrier Chat
Stores are limited in what they sell and it can be really hard to get a sense of how carriers differ from one another when you can't do a side by side comparison. This is why I created a new section on my flickr site - to save you time and energy and to help you select the perfect carrier for you. In carrier chat we'll use a photo journey to demonstrate the differences between each carrier brand, see side by side comparisons with similar brands. And most importantly, we'll discuss features and price points.

Ring slings and things: Slings, pouches and short wraps
All of these carriers belong to the "same" carrier family because they are used in much the same way. In this course I will discuss the anatomy of a sling, which includes shoulder styles and fabrics; the anatomy of a pouch and how to pick the right size; and, how to use a sling, short wrap & pouch.

Little Cuddlers: Beginners wrapping course
Love the idea of a wrap and not sure where to start? Need a hand mastering an front wrap cross carry, learn about the different wrap brands on the market and where to buy them? Then this course is perfect for you -- we will focus on perfect carrying techniques for the newborn and how to carry your babe using long wraps.

Mastering Short Wraps
Short wraps are the oldest style of baby carriers and the most used all around the world as any sturdy piece of cloth can be turned into a handy baby carrier. Take this course and you will see why they are so well liked. Duration: 2 hours, Cost: $40.
Introduction to Babywearing
This course is designed for expecting parents and parents with newborns who want to learn more about babywearing, the different styles of carriers that are available in stores and on the internet, and their advantages and disadvantages. Duration: 1.5 hours, Cost: $15. Date to be announced.
Carriers for rent!*
I'll be available to meet for rentals TWICE a week throughout the month of December - Friday nights at Milkface's Bank Street location and Sunday afternoons at the Extraordinary Baby Shoppe. Is there something that interests you? Visit my store and / or send me an email to arrange a date and a time.
Some carriers excel for the newborn period and then languish in the closet, unloved and unused. Well, save that closet space as we've expanded our rentals to include one or two month rentals for stretchy wraps like Moby, Hug-a-bub and more! Want to try more than one?
